Here are some frequently asked questions that may help answer your questions.
If you are starting in the hobby, I advise you to look for more details in the communities before placing an order, as the items are really expensive and difficult to find.
EzOneSixth exists to create custom head sculpts with a human touch — pieces that carry expression, presence, and emotion.
This is not mass production. Each commission is designed, sculpted, printed, and finished with an artist’s intent, balancing likeness with character.
A custom head sculpt is a full workflow, not a single step.
- Reference analysis and planning
- Digital sculpting (likeness + expression)
- Test fitting and scale adjustments
- 3D printing preparation and quality control
- Post-processing and finishing (and painting when requested)
You are paying for time, skill, iteration, and consistency — not only for the final object.
Quotes are based on complexity, not on a fixed “menu price”.
Main factors:
- Reference quality and likeness difficulty
- Expression intensity (neutral vs dramatic)
- Hair type (sculpted / rooted / bald / headwear)
- Finish level (raw print vs painted vs premium options)
- Deadline constraints (standard vs priority)
When you request a quote, you receive a clear scope: what is included, what counts as a revision, and what would be considered an extra.
No commission should be sold as “perfect”.
What you can expect is a professional result built through a controlled process: reference matching, preview approval, and refinement before production.
Likeness is an artistic translation at small scale. The goal is a head sculpt that reads strongly in hand and on the figure — with presence and character.
Turnaround depends on the queue and the complexity of the request.
In most cases, a commission follows a staged workflow: sculpt preview, revisions, print preparation, finishing/painting, and shipping.
After your quote is accepted, you receive an estimated timeframe and regular status updates aligned with the project stages.
If your timeframe has expired, simply contact me with your original request.
I will confirm:
- Current queue availability
- Any updated timeframe
- Whether the scope changed (which may affect the quote)
Nothing proceeds without a renewed confirmation.
Yes — changes are expected before printing, within the agreed revision scope.
Typical included adjustments:
- Small likeness refinements
- Minor expression tuning
- Subtle proportion corrections for scale
Major changes (new expression, new hairstyle concept, or restarting likeness direction) may require an additional fee and an updated timeframe.
Usually a head sculpting commission is focused only on the head. You can check the work of another 1/6 artists over web to understand what í´m saying. But sometimes I have some bodies that I can negotiate.
The 1/6 scale market has a large number of body manufacturers and the great differential is the possibility of building dioramas and assembling complete figures with a greater amount of detail.
Yes.
Each 1/6 head sculpt commission includes a limited number of minor revisions during the digital sculpting phase. These revisions are intended to refine likeness, proportions, or expression based on the original reference.
Major changes, concept alterations, or requests that significantly diverge from the approved direction may require an additional fee and can affect the production timeline.
The head sculpts are designed to be compatible with most standard 1/6 scale bodies, including:
Hot Toys
TBLeague / Phicen
DAMToys
DID
Dragon Models
Minor adjustments (such as neck adapters or sanding) may be required depending on the body brand and neck system, which is standard practice in the 1/6 customizing hobby
Both options are available.
You may choose between:
Unpainted (raw resin) head sculpts
Hand-painted head sculpts, finished manually using layered techniques suited for 1/6 scale
The selected option will be clearly specified at the time of ordering.
Yes.
Custom head sculpts can be created from photographic references, and AI-generated images may also be used as visual guidance.
However, AI images are treated as conceptual references, not exact blueprints. The final sculpt is interpreted and refined manually to ensure anatomical coherence, printability, and consistency with real-world facial structure.
Yes, for private commissions only.
When included, the STL file is delivered as a ready-to-print mesh, optimized specifically for 1/6 scale physical production.
The STL is not prepared for animation, rigging, or real-time use and would require retopology for those purposes.
Commercial reuse or redistribution is not permitted unless explicitly licensed.
Yes.
Private commissions result in one-of-a-kind head sculpts, created exclusively for the client.
Public or limited collections are produced in strictly controlled quantities, clearly numbered and defined in advance. Once a limited run is closed, production is not reopened.
